Re: any southern ontario?

I hear ya. I love wrenching on my diesel and no one seems to get it. My roommate has a 2009 Denali with the 6.2 that's good for 405hp and is AWD, the truck probably weighs around 6000lbs max and mine (F350 CC SB SRW) at almost 8000lbs walks him from a dead stop and on the highway. He still blabs on aimlessly how diesel's are useless and his gasser is so much more "refined"...

Boring. He's just pissed because he bought a $65k half ton, and get's walked.

Rant over. I hear you on parts too, I do all the work myself in my shop but even parts alone are expensive. I try to buy from the states as much as possible but you need to make sure the vendor understands how to ship to Canada to avoid paying unwanted duty...

Re: any southern ontario?

Ontario here as well. Not too many modified PSD's running around here.

Most if not all my stuff comes from the States/eBay. Luckily if have a drop box in Niagara Falls and live 40 mins away. Have saved 1000's if not 10's of 1000's on parts.

2001 F350 CC SWB 6spd .......currently undergoing a makeover.....stay tuned.

SW Ontario. Windsor area, to be exact. If I can be of any help to anyone, let me know, either in an open forum, or via PM. I'm new here -- but I haven't cruised the forums much, so if I don't reply to something right away, PM me about it.

Re: any southern ontario?

I was born and raised in London and am just living in Edmonton for school. I can't wait to see the look on my friends faces when I move back with my PSD. I feel the pain on parts prices for sure. There also seems to be a huge lack of capable diesel shops that do harder stuff like motor and tranny work.
