Ok he's actually kidding you. You will want to look into a Ts chip with aftermarket tunes.

Re: Best chip and programmer for 01 7.3

I have a DP tuner chip, It has 16 different positions that you can customize to what you want. It also controlls your trany really well. you can have your truck live tuned to the chip or go with DP settings.. I have a live tune and with that i have a no start, stock,Hi idle at 12rpms,20hp tow, 40 tow,60 tow, 80 tow, 100hp tow, a Decel that works like a exhaust brake, a drive thru setting to quiet the truck down, 60hp econo ,80 hp econ, 120 race, 140hp aggressive, a super smoke your buddy setting, and then a lope smoke. the last four are the dumb settings as i call them. ive had ts and banks and edge, they dont come close to what DP can do.. I understand that Bean and Swamps have good chips too.

Re: Best chip and programmer for 01 7.3

Also if you change anything on your truck you can have the tunes changed via email at anytime. your not stuck with just there settings and thats it. My 80hp setting feels like a edges 140hp setting. BUT with a chip like this you have to have gauges and you have to watch them . mainly your egt's , Boost is for braggers , but yes i have one too. Its one of the differences between store bought and custom. good luck
