Sounds like when the alt wire burned in two it fried some other parts of the electrical system or at least some of the sensors/sending units. And the worst part with the pcm
failure code might not be inexpensive and easily replaceable wires or sensor/sending units but might be the pcm
got fried just like any other computer or electrical system they dont like to be shorted out. I would start with checking over the entire wiring harness with a fine tooth comb and replace the oil pressure sending unit/sensor since neither one will cost very much then its on to the pcm
