Custom fuel system question

I used the search function and didn't find what I'm looking for. I want to do a complete custom fuel system. I want to use AN or JIC fittings with braided line. Most likely going to use a magna fuel pump with pre and post filters along with water separator. I want to come out of the pump and run into the front of the head. Come out the back of the head and through the regulator back to the tank.

My question is has anyone used or found a fitting that fits in the head with AN or JIC connections? All the return kits I've seen use hard lines that seem small. I want to get away from those.

I am in the process of building HPOP and fuel lines for my 7.3 with JIC fittings. I just went to my local hyd shop and ordered the 1/8 pipe to 6 JIC fittings and am using 3/8 steel braided hyd hose. On a 7.3 it sure looks like the steel lines and the little fittings that go into the heads are the fuel restriction.

That's what I was thinking. All these people running big pumps and sumps with stock fuel line fittings. I'll probably do what you did. Thanks for the info.

Might be a reason all them people are running stock lines with their fuel systems......just sayin.

People need to get over the idea that bigger is always better.

The passengers side head won't be an issue. Getting a 90 fitting on the drivers side might be an issue with clearance. Pretty tight between the head and the front cover.
