ICP pressures, IPR, lower boost numbers

Well im going to try and make this long story a little shorter. So here it goes, My truck is an 05 6.0 basically stock other than 58v ficm, CAI, 5" exhaust, and matts srl tune. Last week i pulled the tuner off the truck because i was going to try a different tune, well as of a few days ago i went ahead and put the srl tune back on. Had to make a couple trips to southern ohio, and on the second trip down i noticed the truck seemed like it was lacking a little power not much just noticable to me. So i got into a few times and noticed i was only seeing around 20-21 psi of boost. and as of last month i was seeing 27-28 psi. My first thought was possible low fuel pressure. I dont gauges for it yet, i just ordered them friday. So i dont know exact fuel pressure.

Next, i plugged the AE into the truck and took it for a cruise and at WOT icp pressure was only seeing 2000-2100 psi, and ICP desired was right there with it. The IPR at WOT was showing around 88% i beleive. So the ICP numbers seem low to me. SHouldnt it be reading over 3000 psi?

Any thoughts to if it would be fuel pressure or a ICP issue or where do you guys feel i should be looking.

Thanks Ahead of time

Re: ICP pressures, IPR, lower boost numbers

I know on my 2006 6.0 with erics xrace tune, WOT I only see about 1500 ICP. I contacted eric about it and he told me thats how HE writes his tunes. He told me for a piece of mind even though he already told me it's perfectly fine, to load up my factory tune and take it for a spin. I did at and with the "stock" tune loaded into my truck, anything past about half throttle, I see roughly 3900psi ICP. Contact matt and see how he writes his tunes. It may very well be in the tune like mine is.

Re: ICP pressures, IPR, lower boost numbers

so would you be thinking more along the lines of low fuel pressure to cause the boost lost?

Re: ICP pressures, IPR, lower boost numbers

You have to look at ICP voltage with my tune..... the pressure you are seeing isn't right. you should be holding 4.6 or slightly more volts at WOT.

Re: ICP pressures, IPR, lower boost numbers

I just took the truck for a run, checking icp voltage. At an idle it stays around .77 - .85 volts, at wide open throttle i seen it as high has 4.77 volts but fluxuated from 4.25 to the 4.77. Seemed to keep a little more constant at 4.4 to 4.6 volts during the run.
