Question Fuel Additives for my 2004 F350

Does anyone know what kind of fuel additive I should use, if any at all? Don't want to hurt the injectors and want to make the truck last.

Re: Fuel Additives for my 2004 F350

asking this question is like asking what is your favorite BBQ joint and favorite tooth paste. Rev-x and Standyne are two excellant items. I think you can add just about anything just as long as you do it moderatly. I recently added Marvel Mystery oil to a tank of fuel and I think my 6.0l liked it, but no real hard fact testing. I read not to long ago that the fuel alone doesn't have the enough cleaner agents and cetane. Try different stuff and let us know.

next I'm going with Rev-x

Thanks for the info. I am new to owning a diesel and I don't want to mess it up.

It's a good idea in a 6.0 to put a good quality cetane additive in your fuel year round.. I have tried a few and the Motorcraft peformance additive worked best for me.. Not only will your engine run better, your EGR system with benifit from it as well.. And Welcome by the way..
