Irritating problem

I've had this problem off and on for the last 5 or so years and can't figure it out. I am hoping that someone else may have figured it out. The truck runs great and seems to have plenty of power but it will go through periods where it will studder a little about every other time I run it. I've been running Rev-X winter fuel additive and just switched to Stanadyne but it was doing it before the switch, I've got a fairly recent fuel filter change and the problem seems to go away after I fill up the fuel tank (50 gal) there are no codes on my Edge CS, and no obvious leaks. Anybody have any ideas?

Re: Iritating problem

I am dealing with a similar one right now. It's infuriating to say the least. I am 95% positive that it might be a ficm.

I'm just going to make the call on it, I'm tired of Dicking with it.

Jamie.

p.s...I'm pretty frickin awesome!

Re: Irritating problem

being as it doesn't act up immediately after a full fill-up, makes me think it's sucking air! but it's not doing it every time you drive it... weird!

one idea - unless your deleted, maybe egr valve sticking open a little bit? it won't necessarily throw codes until it sticks open long enough at a time.

another idea - maybe something to do with your titan fuel tank? i've never seen one, so i couldn't say

sub'd! hope you get it figured out

Re: Irritating problem

Just an update, after cleaning the EGR and checking the EBP, both checked out good, I checked out the voltage vs psi on my IPR, still checked out good but I pulled the plug on the IPR and cleaned it and haven't had the problem come up for the last three days. I'll keep my fingers crossed but my gut tells me that its just hiding for a while.
